classicTEK.org needs your help!

We are looking to fill in our reletively small digital collection of TEKscope publications that were printed throughout the years.  If you have or know of anyone who does have even a few of these laying around, please contact us via email so we can make arrangements to get them scanned and posted to the library.  We don't need to keep the originals, we just need them long enough to scan them and get them in the archive.  We will return them to you as soon as we are done.

classicTEK.org is a non-profit foundation started to support the absolute preservation of all things classicTEK.  So you might ask yourself................"Just what is classicTEK?"  classicTEK means anything and everything that has a connection to the glory days at Tektronix.

The "Glory Days" for some may be different than for others, but the ultimate goal here at classicTEK.org is to unite and archive the life & times, equipment & procedures, repair & preservation of all the Test & Measurement equipment produced by Tektronix.  Anything that might provide more information about all the people who dedicated their lives to building the finest waveform measurement equipment known throughout the world is fair game.

It is our belief that the early days at Tektronix came at a pivotol time in world history.  Howard Vollum and Jack Murdock, along with countless others, provided the equipment and the rest of the world provided the energy.  Tektronix and its contributions provided the test and measurement resources that fueled one of the fastest growing periods for medical and technological advances in world history.  Directly or indirectly, this company and its people had the most profound effect on the progress of the time.

It is the goal of classicTEK.org to help tell the story by providing a means to connect the people and provide the tools to further the archival and preservation of all the wonderful things that came from the brightest and most energetic minds to ever come together under one common goal.

To this end, classicTEK.org is providing the:

• Photo Gallery - for all the photos provided by the participants of classicTEK.org. and a place for any registered member to add his/her own comments to all photos.  As an added bonus, the photos in this area will include all of the old company pictures of anything the resident Tektronix company photographer deemed necessary to document.  There are about 3,000 photos that have been scanned to this point and we have another 9,000'ish to go.  Take some time and look around, there is something for everyone.

• Equipment Database - Currently the database more closely resembles a comprehensive list of equipment and accessories manufactured from the inception of Tektronix right up to and through the end of 1969.  As time marches on the Tektronix Database will a very robust repository for all pictures, manuals, modification summaries, sales and service documentation, and generally any information regarding all of the equipment, its repair, and preservation.
• Tektronix Library - This is the entrance into our reference collection.  Here is where you will find all sorts of things we have managed to collect, archive, and digitize for the purpose of sharing.  Our collection is by no means complete or the largest, though we strive for that at some time in the future.  Take your time browse the different areas and see what you might find useful.

• Tektronix Links - A list of all Tektronix related internet links we can find are here so you don't have to look all over hither and yon yourself.  It is our hope that this will save you valuable time surfing the net trying to find information about your topic of interest.
